Cantonment Man Lands In Jail, Upset That He Didn’t Get Anything For Christmas

December 29, 2016

A Cantonment man landed in jail Christmas morning after becoming upset that he didn’t get anything for Christmas.

According to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, the female victim woke up about 6 a.m. and went into the living room of a home she shares as a family with 24-year old Jeremy Blake Bowlin in order to start Christmas gift giving. The victim said as she approached Bowlin, he “got an attitude” and went into a bedroom upset because he did not receive any gifts. He then walked around the house yelling and cursing about his life and how it has been a bad Christmas, the report states.

The victim began to pack her things and her childrens’ things to go to a relative’s home. Bowlin would not let her leave , blocking in her vehicle. Anytime that she attempted to leave, he would get into her car. She was finally able to leave after two hours. Bowlin followed her, drove in front of her and blocked the road so that she could not pass. The victim called 911.

Deputies caught up with the couples’ vehicles near Highway 29 and Nine Mile Road, conducting a traffic stop on Bowlin’s vehicle in the parking lot of Church’s Chicken on Highway 29. He was taken into custody without further incident.

The victim told deputies she had feared for her life during the incident.

Bowlin was charged with felony false imprisonment, stalking, possession of drug paraphernalia (a glass smoking device) and no driver’s license. He remained in the Escambia County Jail Thursday with bond set at $105,000.

I’m alittle confused. So the man was upset about missing his kids first Christmas but he was there with them on Christmas. He got mad over not getting a gift. I don’t see how that “says” he wants to be with his kid that day. Sounds like a spoiled little ungratefull child. Whom seems like his real dad was a dead beat, and his dad should’ve ashamed of himself to have taught his child it’s ok to be like that. And the mom. Well we can tell by his actions who she is to him. Why didn’t she get him a gift. Sounds like time she thought he didn’t deserve a gift. And to say all that man wanted was to spend Christmas with his baby. Yea right’. All he wanted was a materialistic gift!

Look i will say this, this is his brother Chase Bowlin. To set here and see these comments. Whos is anyone to justify his life or criticize his actions, yall all have no right. When you cant even put yourself in his shoes. That mans missing his baby which he devoted his life too. Ya he had a rough past, but that wat made him the man that is. Since his baby was tooken from him 4 months ago. He was having some mixed emotions beyond missing his baby first christmas, yeah yall would be unsettled on christmas day. And all that man was wanting to do was spend his holidays with wat little family that he has. Blake ive always been here and love you with every once of this world love you B… FAMTIGHT!

What is really messed up about Blake -my son Timmy had always made those boys have a nice Christmas oand thanksgiving and even there birthdays and how did they re-pay my son they killed him .and had cut my arm and I’ve had 3 surgeries just so I could move my fingers. So that girl is lucky his mom didn’t try to stop her also. She needs to count her blessings and go back to Alaska.

I love all the “don’t judge you don’t know his story” comments. I do know his story. Have known this kid for a really long time. He killed my brother and got away with it. And a year before that blakes older brother had shot my brother in the head but luckily Tim survived. This boy should have been put away years ago. That girl is extremely luckily.

They say you can’t judge a book by it’s cover, but take one look at this guy and look at public court records and just guess who will be supporting this guy for years to come…….Florida tax paying citizens with jobs and interest in the community. I know public defenders are a necessary evil, because they are sometimes the only check and balance system for the fraction of wrongly accused, but tax payers will be paying for that as well. I look at this guy and the comments people have left about him and wonder if he is just a lifetime leach on society that should have been locked away long ago.

I’ve been thinking (Uh-oh). We tend to hide gifts around the house for the fun of it, like wrapped boxes over kitchen cabinets that are actually gifts to keep the spirit going all day. What if he had a large gift that was hidden in another part of the house like a recliner chair or something? He’d look like an even bigger fool, wouldn’t he?

How did he kill your son Kim Harmon? I tried to research without asking but couldn’t find anything. Do you mind sharing with us?

She is lucky she is still alive. This thug already got away with murder once and stays in and out of jail. He killed my nephew Tim Harmon RIP

    But maybe a little right.

  19. Becky on December 29th, 2016 7:35 pm

I feel sorry for the children who had to endure this negativity on Christmas. Young ladies this is my advise for you: Choose a man that puts God first. Let that be the first quality that you look for in a man.

  20. danny on December 29th, 2016 7:23 pm

I bet he got a trophy even when his team lost.

  21. Prayers not judgement on December 29th, 2016 6:58 pm

I don’t know this young man but I will pray for him rather than judge. It’s not my place to condemn his actions…

  22. jeeperman on December 29th, 2016 6:47 pm

He certainly shows a lot of maturity!, poor boy.

  23. molinoman on December 29th, 2016 5:46 pm

@Kane funny you say not to judge yet done some judging yourself. Any adult that expects something for Christmas is immature. Christmas is for the kids and this guys had kids in the house, ruined their joy and set a bad example. Help the less fortunate, give to needy kids and that is the greatest gift.

    Matthew 6:19-21
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal; But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal; For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

  24. Jamie on December 29th, 2016 5:00 pm

When you have children or are with someone with children – IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU anymore!!!! Poor children, I feel so sorry for them!

    REGARDING
“It amazes me how some people think the world revolves around them”

Me too, especially when it actually revolves around ME.

    AND
“Wow everyone is so quick to judge and condemn others where did that Christmas spirit go so fast? You don’t even know these peoples story or what all has gone on.”

True, but if what is reported is accurate, it was mock-worthy.
If you know anything which would justify the behavior, share it.

    AND
“instead spend all of that money to feed and care for the poor just like Jesus did.”

We already do with our taxes. We’re even feeding HIM right now.

    AND
“Don’t judge someone unless you know them or have walked a mile in their shoes.”

Don’t judge a thief unless you have stolen, a kidnapper unless you have also kidnapped, a killer unless you have also killed, a rapist unless you have also…?

    That seems unreasonable somehow.
We should be able to say some things are wrong without doing them ourselves.

“Bet you a quarter when he gets out she takes him back.”

No bet; I may need that quarter.

    David for reasonable people
(and a choo-choo train for the kid)

  27. Beegee on December 29th, 2016 4:05 pm

God gave everyone a Christmas present…….His name is JESUS…………free to all….don’t ever feel that no one gave you a present….just accept HIM…..

  28. Kane on December 29th, 2016 2:32 pm

Wow everyone is so quick to judge and condemn others where did that Christmas spirit go so fast? You don’t even know these peoples story or what all has gone on. Christmas is not a Christian holiday it is a Commercial holiday. It is a holiday that is for buying buying and buying. You want to celebrate Christmas as a Christian holiday then GO TO CHURCH!! Stop buying those gifts for you spoiled little tots that will grow up to be this guy one day and instead spend all of that money to feed and care for the poor just like Jesus did. Take Christmas back from the companies and corporations and make it about God again. Also just because you read a news article that does not mean you know enough about the story to make an intelligible comment. God Bless.

A “Man” wouldn’t do that.. I think he’s mislabeled in the article. ;)

Don’t judge someone unless you know them or have walked a mile in their shoes.
How would you have felt if you got nuttin for Christmas? Sometimes people go off the deep end for unknown reasons. Bet you a quarter when he gets out she takes him back.

  31. Hcox on December 29th, 2016 1:11 pm

What a winner……girl do yourself and those babies a favor and rid your lives of his stupidity. You’re better than that and ya’ll shouldn’t have to go through that. Use this as a wake up call. Save yourselves.

That Santa is one smart man! Can’t bully him into leaving you gifts!

  35. Good grief on December 29th, 2016 10:17 am

To his girlfriend: this is your opportunity to be done with him. He is no good for you or your children. Your kids deserve better than this. He will NEVER change and be what you need him to be. He is very immature and selfish. You can do much better without him. He is holding you down. For your children and for you, please don’t take him back when he gets out of jail. Don’t believe his lies. Honey, he doesn’t love you. He loves himself! I am talking from experience.

  36. EMD on December 29th, 2016 10:15 am

CHRISTmas. We say it’s about Him, but it is really about US, no matter its origin. If its traditions did not have pagan roots, it has certainly become that and worse. People need to be honest, even about things they love.

That “harmless” smoke killed off too many brain cells. Seen it too many times. They don’t realize how messed up they are but think they are seeing things clearly. Unmet expectations sets off many emotional explosions as reality escapes them. Sad.

I feel for the children involved and the memories they will always have of Christmas 2016. Maybe this is the break their mother needs to get away from this loser and start 2017 fresh for herself and her children. And I’m sure the deputies involved would have rather been home with their families instead of dealing with this puke.
