November 13, 2016
Well over 100,000 people were on hand Saturday as the Blue Angels wrapped up their 70th anniversary season onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station.
The Blue Angels will spend their winter break in Central California, training for the 2017 season.

The four planes in the bottom picture are the Areoshell Team. The planes were models that were used in WWII. Great stunts by all the groups there, but I really enjoyed this one, and of course, the BLUES!
Breathtaking. Awesome. Spectacular. Inspiring.
I do not have the vocabulary to adequately convey the Blue Angel Homecoming. The history of Pensacola Naval Air Station combined with the pride and precision of our beloved Blues, and knowing just that, they are *our* Blues. This is their home and this is our home. As a Pensacola native that very combination makes this show, and this venue, special. Not as scenic as the beach show but, for me at least, much more heartfelt.
Thank you, men and women of the Blue Angel team, for your dedication and inspiration. You always make us proud. Long may you fly!
