New Restaurant Now Under Construction In Cantonment

October 27, 2016

A new restaurant is under construction Cantonment.

An Arby’s franchise is under construction at 1494 South Highway 29, just north of the Dollar General at North Tate School Road, according to Escambia County documents.

The 2,383 square foot restaurant will sit on a 2.64 acre parcel with primary access from Highway 29.

The Arby’s is owned by Beavers, Inc., a family-owned and operated company. Currently Beavers owns and operates 51 Arby’s franchised restaurants including the location on Nine Mile road and five others in Pensacola, plus locations in Milton, Atmore, Brewton and other cities in the Southeast.

There’s no word yet on when the Arby’s Cantonment will open or how many employees will be hired.

Chris, I bet Arby’s will do better for one reason. Population. Oh and much much more traffic than Century.

Glad Arby’s is coming! I hope they change their cooking more frequently than some of the others in the area. Good luck!

Arby’s is great!!!!! I will just be glad when someone realizes there is a place called Molino that could use a grocery store and build in our town.

Sam : Countin must not been your best subject ! But I’d say a sewer/sanitation
System is required for fast food chain& big box stores etc. some older
Business’s are maybe grandfathered with septic type systems. I’d sure
Like some chains etc from paper mill to 97 but the infrastructure has to be
available. A couple of posts in this line asked about Walmart & burger
King etc. but maybe you didn’t read far enough.

@Ponderosa Hill: Why don’t you do the research on your 1,000 questions like I’m sure that Beavers Inc. did. Obviously everything is good to go or they wouldn’t build it there.

Where do the sewer lines stop on hwy 29 ?…….can a fast food be built
only using septic type systems ? How about a big box grocery ? Is natural
gas available ? Is theTom Thumb @ corner of 29 and 97 on sewer ?

Thanks for the info. I had been wondering the last couple weeks what was happening there. Also, any idea what is going on at the corner of Hwy.29 and W Streets?

Why dont some one build a churchs or popeyes north of nine mile road that would be great and i think it would. Do well!!!

If Century cannot keep a Chinese restaurant afloat, what makes you think Arby’s would do any better?

  14. molinoman on October 27th, 2016 1:05 am

A franchise like this would make money in Molino at the 29/97 intersection. I have heard rumors for years one would be built, think it was a Burger King. Just like a Walmart rumor. I hope these guys do better than Sonic did and be better than McD and BK near there.

Why can’t someone build further out like in Century or Flomaton.
