Man Charged With Burglary After Being Caught In Cantonment Home

October 6, 2016

A  man was charged with burglary after being caught inside a Cantonment home by an observant neighbor that called the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived at the home on Shallow Branch Street in Cantonment, they were able to look through a window and observe the top of the suspect’s head lying down in a bedroom.

Inside the home, they reported finding 19-year old Zeb Jordan Bailey, and he was placed under arrest for felony unarmed burglary of an unoccupied dwelling. He remained in the Escambia County Jail Thursday with bond set at $10,000.

@ Amanda and @ Ariel – The submit comment box is here and is used for that. If he has outstanding parents, well they may be out standing in the cemetary one day. Their son and them need to wake up before it’s too late. As for both of you, take him in and seek some counseling. He needs a good ole butt whipping if you really want to know. Amazing how people get confused and break in a home to take a nap. He may listen to you girls before he does his parents. Good idea to spend some time with him.

    @Ariel
When this individual you know so well gets out of jail go pick him up and let him live with you. If you knew him so well why didn’t you offer him the help he needs .Just wondering ,evidently you don’t want to get involved with him and help so don’t preach when we make comments you dislike.

Why y’all got to rag on this kid? mind your own business you got nothing good to say don’t bother commenting, y’all don’t know this kid , I do. He’s going through family problems and had no where to live , just like that girl said you don’t know him don’t judge him.

First, 19 years doesn’t make you a man. Being caught may be the best thing to ever happen to him. I pray that this gets his attention and he turns his heart around before it’s too late.
Praying, too, for the home owners whose sense of safety has surely been compromised.

A thief is not a man. He is just a person to sorry to work!!

Please do not place judgement on people you do not know. I personally know this family and watch this young man grow up.He has out standing parents. I pray this opens his eyes and God helps him see there is a better life then the path he is going down

Anne said it right. Everyone 99% of the time condemns the perp for being despicable and dead meat if they do it again. Once robbed, you get that way and it’s easy to learn to hate, but we don’t have all the facts. We’re ALL guilty of not paying enough attention to guiding our children.

this happened very close to my house and unfortunately it seems to be a trend of things in the county now. This kid, based on the address he gave, seemed to live in a decent area and a nice house. Maybe his folks didn’t “give” him enough so his little entitled behind decided to take it from someone else. Looks like he has some problems anyway so I hope he doesn’t come back to our area again. If he does, it might not be a matter of him being arrested. He could leave in a bag if he doesn’t change his direction.

He would be lucky if it was only my dog that got him. I Hate thieves and would have taken a lot of anger out on that little punk.

Looked at the Clerk of Court site on this young man.
From what is there my guess is he was confused and didn’t know where he was and was “like really tired man” so was taking a nap.

Some folks just don’t realize how lucky they are to not have been seriously injured by a homeowner.

Figure it out fella, life is good but not on your path.
Hope God helps you find the right way to go.
