Northview Plays Up Against Gulf Breeze, Falls 42-0

September 10, 2016

For the second time this season, the Northview Chiefs played up several classifications and against much larger rosters, and for the second time this season the Chiefs were sent home scoreless. The 1A Chiefs lost to the 6A Gulf Breeze Dolphins Friday night, 42-0 in Gulf Breeze.

The loss came two weeks after a road trip to 6A Crestview in which the Chiefs lost 70-0. At 1-2, Northview’s win this season came last week 21-14 against a much similar-sized team from Escambia Academy in Canoe, AL.

Next week, the Chiefs are back home in Bratt as they play host to the Chipley Tigers. The Tigers (0-3) are coming off a 42-8 loss to Blountstown Friday night.

both teams put 11 on the field northviews coach probably asked to schedule this game because it makes a small team better playing above there class he knows because he coached a state championship team, just saying.

Why don’t you join the qb club and help raise money then. News flash Northview has played teams above there class since the school strated in 1996. If the score was the other way around noone would ever say a word. Yall think its bad now wait until next year when there is no more districts and we play all play in a conference wont have a choice much on who you play because we’ll be playing for points not district wins.

The FHSAA should have a rule that no school can play no more than 2 classifications above its own since the responsible adults (principles, coaches, athletic directors, QB club) can’t say no to the money that is offered up for the slaughter.

It’s rough playing a team that runs on 11 new players on change of possession when you have 5 or 6 that play both ways nearly every down.

They are a spirited group but that will only get you so far in a game against a team like this.
