Flomaton Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspects

The Flomaton Police Department is searching for two people involved in the armed robbery a local convenience store.

About 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, two unknown subjects entered the Texaco at the intersection of Sidney Manning Boulevard and Highway 31 in Flomaton. The two armed suspects demanded cash before fleeing the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police Chief Bryan Davis said both suspects were fully disguised. Tracking dogs from the Alabama Department of Corrections were unsuccessful in locating the suspects.

There were no injuries reported during the armed robbery. The investigation is continuing.

    Legislate these items into law to greatly reduce conv store crime: panic buttons for the cashier directly linked to the Police Dept. Bulletproof compartments for the casheir, biz being done thru an opening in same, at least after hours. Buildings could be required to be equipped with steel partitions that slam down on all openings when the panic button is hit, locking the perps inside. You congressmen & other pols probably have buddies in the security, alarm, & construction biz that this legislation will benefit, so it will fit right in with most other legislation on your prioritized agenda. :D
