Driver Misses Molino Stop Sign, Hits Distant Tree
September 4, 2016
A driver traveled hundreds of feet and hit a treee after missing a stop sign in Molino Saturday.
About 9:50 p.m., the drive of a pickup truck was westbound on Crabbtree Church Road when he failed to stop at the intersection with Sunshine Hill Road. The vehicle crossed Sunshine Hill Road, ran off the roadway and continued about 350 to 400 feet before striking a tree. The driver refused transport to the hospital.
The homeowner said this is not the first time someone has missed that stop sign and traveled past their home into the tree line.

Please everyone just slow down OnCrabtree Church Rd. & SunshineHill Rd. I have small grandchildren, There are many children on both roads,Schoolbuses & some Horseback-riders too. Please Please slow down. All of Gods Children matter.
O.K. all you smart elic “Know it ALLS!” This is MY yard, My property, and what’s more, the Safety of My Grandchildren! You all got so many smart remarks about such a Serious Thing! How about spending some of your energy trying to fix a serious problem? I’ve lived here for 5 years and there have been 11 runthroughs (that we know of). We have lost possessions, but Thank God not a child or even YOUR family that just might happen to be passing through the intersection on their way home from Molino Park! SO….if you can’t say something helpful, don’t say anything at all! This isnt Facebook!
Kingsfield has flashing lights as well as a stop sign, which wasn’t hard to see in the first place. This sign is hard to see, and needs the same warnings as Kingsfield.
The length of more than a football field to be stop by a tree? How fast were they going and what happen to brakes? The Driver needs fixing, not the road.
Which sign is really hard to see? The 36″ stop ahead sign or the 36″ STOP sign or maybe the 8 square foot large arrow sign with 2 object markers beside it ????????
It is kind of hard to see that sign.
Tsk Tsk, tree lives do in fact matter. I hear it was an unarmed tree with its limbs held high, too.
yeah, & some of those hooks & cables they use to stop the jets landing on aircraft carriers
That should be fixed with reflector signs and warnings………..So should Hwy. 29 and Barrineau Park Road (196). Needs prior warning and reflectors on both sides (east and west) of Barrineau Park road.
Couldn’t stop so he got treed????
That’s my grandparents old place. They have done that for years.
Tree lives matter. Lol
