Tate Showband Car Wash Saturday In Five Locations

The Tate High School Showband of the South will hold their annual car wash Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at five locations in the Cantonment area.
This fundraiser benefits the entire Showband of the South. The car wash locations are:
- Aaron’s on Hwy. 29
- Advanced Auto Parts on Hwy. 29
- Auto Zone on Pensacola Blvd.
- Pizza Hut on 9 Mile Rd.
- Tractor Supply on 9 Mile Rd.

I’m with Paul. The parents or activity/fund raising director should give people some value for their $, instead of passing around the tithe plate in front of wally world.
You can’t hardly go into wally world these days without some kids hitting you up for money, work for it, like the rest of us did. I don’t see the harm in that.
Good for these kids, I’ll probably take my truck up there and help support them.
Paul, there is nothing wrong with them asking (not begging) for money. Car washes come with a lot of liability in todays world. My sons have both done can shakes and it is an effective way to raise much needed funds. When I was in school we had road blocks doing the same thing. At least the kids are in school and doing something.
I’m glad they’re working for it instead of just begging outside of a Walmart. The local basketball team “tried” to make me feel guilty for Not supporting their game. Their coach should be ashamed.
