You know, a lot of that will buff right out…
Have seen a few vehicle fires that started due to wiring shorting out, battery exploding and other means.
It’s amazing how quickly and how HOT a car fire can be and that’s due in part to the plastics used throughout the vehicles.
If an accelerant was used in order to destroy evidence then it could have been more intense and rapid.
It will be interesting to hear follow-up on this.
If it was a Jag they used/were aluminum bodied. So the hood melts, looks like front fender too.
Or another car that uses aluminum panels.
Hood could have been carbon fiber, what is left of the engine is still in it. As hot as that fire was it would have melted.
It looks kinda like a Jaguar X-type, but it’s so burnt it’s hard to tell for sure.
BG … I doubt the hood was stolen. Due to the high heat of the fire, the thin metal just melts away like it was plastic. Having had a truck catch fire and burn in my driveway, It looked very similar to this vehicle. That being everything from the dashboard to the front bumper just melted.
Stole for engine maybe ? No hood ?
Insurance job ? Or somebody just didn’t
like this owner.
From the pics, it would appear LARGE amounts of accelerant was used for this cookoff!
Total LOSS? No Way ,Call Jeff Spicoli. He can fix it.
