    @Cindy Cobb
    The children ran to the neighbor while the violence was happening to call for help. While there, they were praying and comforting them. Later on the DCF came and picked up the children, now they are in foster care.
    Please, please, please, pray for these babies. I’ve seen this kinda thing happen before and it almost destroyed my brothers. They are in need of a Devine touch from God.

    Praying for the children. Also to women and YOUNG WOMEN no man should hit you. They say anything to be forgiven and they know this about this cycle then you return back to the Honeymoon stage until BAM he hits you again. I pray that my daughter will not end like this story, but if she doesn’t wake up then GOD will have to take control over the abuser. #stopdomesticviolence

    I live in jay and it’s true, the last couple years have been extremely unusual,but our town sticks together we have a lot of prayer warriors who live here ,ppl who reach out for others in need, this is beyond mere words of sympathy,may The Lord give all involved comfort and rest in the hearts of these children my heart just breaks with the injustice of it all…

    The comments are confusing! Some say the children are in foster care while the neighbor says the children ran to her house for protection or out of fear. Which is true??

    I tend to agree with Anne when it comes to grief counselors. These precious children need “empathy” more than sympathy right now. And, God bless the neighbor for teaching them to pray. My prayer is that a good Christian family will be able to take them, raise them and help them through this life changing event, instead of getting lost in the DCF system and possibly separated.
    Praying for all involved and thankful the children were not “physically” injured.. or worse.

    I live in Jay and I have lived here my whole life,usually stuff like this doesn’t happen around here but the past couple of years have been out of the ordinary and this is the 2nd domestic violence murder suicide that has happen in 2 years and in both cases these poor kids have to b without the person or people that has tault them everything they kno and they were all they knew it’s just really sad to hear about and I just hope these kids can live their lives without this on their minds all the time… just so sad I wish there was a way I could help.

  17. ivy on August 6th, 2016 3:50 pm

    We had met them and the kids before this is so sad. I pray those kids can recover from this awful situation. The kids are so sweet and caring may god be with them.

    We will pray for the young kids and the many years it’ll take to understand such a nightmare that will always follow them.

  19. Laticia on August 6th, 2016 2:58 pm

    This is sad. Praying for all involved. Very sad. I have family in Jay. Distant family. I pray this community can provide for the needs of these children. Terrible thing to lose parents and be separated from all they know. Many prayers.

    Counselors for these children need to have lost a parent. The others are useless and I know this from experience. Traumatic, this is the beginning of a life long memory. My heart is bleeding for these children. Prayer is #1. The woman who taught them to pray at her home will be with them in their hearts forever. This is impossibly sad.

  21. Saddened on August 6th, 2016 11:06 am

    This is very sad. This family lived across the street from my parents. The children ran to their house because the mom told them to “run” somewhere safe and call for help. My mom said during the traumatic wait and investigation that the little boy ( about 4th grade and girl 5th grade) kept saying I want my mommy. My mom said she didn’t really know what to say other than teach them how to pray. Please pray for those little children.

  22. Frank on August 6th, 2016 10:22 am

    Please Pray for the small kids that have been traumatized by this…
