Driver Side-Swipes Bridge

A driver escaped injury early Sunday morning when they side-swiped the railing on the Quintette Road Bridge over the Escambia River between Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

The 4:30 a.m. crash is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. The Cantonment Station of Escambia Fire Rescue and Santa Rosa County EMS were among the first responders.

    Bewildered the tire may have something to do with it. If something broke, that would snatch the car to the left into the opposite side of the bridge.

    Lord knows I have no room to talk as I am not very good parking in tight spaces – but if they side-swiped the railing on a bridge, shouldn’t the passenger side of the car be torn up and not the driver side?
