Robert Michael Molchanoff, 84, of Molino, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at West Florida Hospital in hospice care. He was born in Washington D.C. He lived the first half of his life in Miami and the Florida Keys before moving his family to Molino.
Robert was a man of strong morals and ethics, dedicated to his God, his family, and his work. He served in the Korean War and was vice president and president of banks in the Keys, Homestead, Pensacola and Milton and made several lifelong friends along the way. He loved teaching his Sunday School class, sports, fishing, telling tall tales of Wanarookus and his pets, mostly his pets!
He was married for 61 years to his loving wife, Laura and he fathered seven children of whom he was very proud: five sons, Michael Jr., Dade, Timothy, Joseph, Matthew and two daughters, Deborah and Martha and came to be a father to all of their spouses as well. He also leaves behind his 11 beloved grandchildren and five adored great-grandchildren. We should also mention his much loved puppies, Lily and Gracie.
He will be celebrated and laid to rest on Monday, July 18, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church, 6420 Hwy 95A in Molino. Visitation will be at 10 a.m.
