Gary Griffis

Mr. Gary Griffis, 57, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016, in Pensacola.
Mr. Griffis was a native of Bogia, FL and a resident of McDavid for most of his life. Mr. Griffis was a hardworker, hunter, and fisherman. He was of the Holiness faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Ruby Griffis; one brother, Wayne Griffis; one sister, Annette Lambeth; and two nephews, David Griffis and Chad Hanks.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Glenda Bagwell; one son, Bryan (Ava Brazil) Griffis of Pollard, AL; one daughter, Jessica (Tim Satterwhite) Griffis of Flomaton; three brothers, Danny Griffis, Dennis Griffis and Tony Griffis all of McDavid; two sisters, Patsy Griffis of McDavid and Brenda Hanks of Century; and three grandchildren, Jaden Satterwhite, Michael Griffis and Hunter Griffis.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Bryan officiating.
Burial will be at the Mt. Carmel Methodist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Griffis, John John Griffis, Jamie Waters, Ely Odom, Levi Satterwhite and Bradley Brown.
Honorary pallbearer will be Bernnie Kimmons.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes is in charge of all arrangements.
