FHP Seeks Cantonment Hit And Run Dodge Ram With Skull And Guns On Grill

June 1, 2016

The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a Dodge Ram that had a unique grill decoration that was involved in a Cantonment hit and run accident just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the FHP, the Dodge Ram was traveling northbound on Wegner Avenue approaching Mintz Lane when the driver failed to stop at a yield sign and struck a Toyota Avalon driven by 71-year old Elizabeth Harris of Cantonment.

The Toyota left the roadway and struck a concrete table and landscaping at 302 Wegner Avenue, while the driver of the Dodge Ram fled the scene northbound on Wegner Avenue.

Harris and her six-year old passenger suffered minor injuries.

The FHP is looking for a white male driving a black Dodge Ram,  possibly a 1998-2000 model with heavy front end damage and missing the front grill. The grill was left on scene. It had a chrome skull with two guns mounted to the front.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Joshua Tucker at joshuatucker@flhsmv.gov or call Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP.

Hopefully someone will come forward with this person’s identity. I’m sure he lived in or around that area of the accident. He may be dumb enough to go look for his missing truck parts.

Phil must have x-ray vision, bc the only way to tell the difference btwn wood and metal screws is by the thread and/or shoulder, neither of which is visible. Perhaps Phil has first-hand knowledge of what type screw was used? Just sayin…

This was my grandmother & my little sister. Totally disgusted at the fact that a man could just hit them & leave them there. I hope he is found and I hope he gets what he deserves. If you have any idea who it could be please call it in. Just thankful that they are both okay with only minor injuries. It could’ve been much worse especially how fast he was going in a neighborhood.

They’ll know who’s truck it was by the end of the day. Finding out who was behind the wheel will be another “story”..

He left behind distinctive evidence so If you recongnize it PLEASE CALL IT IN!!!!

This is like a robbery with facial tatoos.

SHEET METAL SCREWS??? You really used sheet metal screws to attach a hood ornament to your truck. Could have at least counter-sunk the screws into the natural screw heads on the pistol grip handles.

I’d think with such a distinctive grill the guy should be behind bars in no time.
