Dog Miraculously Found Alive Hours After Massive House Fire
June 12, 2016
In what is being call a miracle of sorts, a family dog was found alive and doing well inside historic home in Atmore about two hours after a massive blaze began to rip through the home.
The dog was discovered by firefighters in a first floor room of the home, well after the roof had collapsed, sending flames exploding 30 feet or more into the air.
“It was a miracle for the little guy,” Atmore Fire Chief Ronald Peebles said. “I don’t know how he survived.”
TheĀ soaking wet dog, shivering with fear, was evaluated by Atmore Ambulance, dried off and given some much need water.

Awwwww!!! With so much going wrong in this cruel world I was filled with happiness when I read this. I’m a doggy lover and I have two small ones of my own. I couldn’t imagine life without them. So glad God watched over this little one!!!
Good dogs are hard to find that are as lucky as this one! Same analogy applies to humans. )
Oh, so so so happy to hear a happy ending. Thank fire fighters. It is a tough job, especially with temperatures so hot now and humidity so high. I couldn’t do it but I appreciate the ones of you that can. God Bless.
This just made my day better! So glad to hear this
