Bernard A. “Skippy” Brown, 74, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, May 8, 2016. He was born and raised in Pensacola, where he most enjoyed walking on the beach, eating fresh seafood, and running into friends at the T&W Flea Market.  He was also an avid NASCAR fan. Skippy never met a stranger and maintained lifelong friendships, many whom he met as the owner of Quality Auto Parts in Ensley.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, George E. Brown and Sara Ann Turberville.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Quinn Brown; son, Anthony Brown (Barbara); and daughters, Denise Blanton, Deanna Lucia (Tom), and Laurie Vincent (Timmy). He was PawPaw to seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Skippy’s personal quote and daily life goal was “Just Good Clean Living.”

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Faith Chapel North with Brother Ed Guernsey officiating.

Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home North is handling arrangements.
