Barrineau Park Historical Society Awards Scholarships

The Barrineau Park Historical Society presented three scholarships to area seniors Friday night.

  • Haylee Wearver, Northview High School, was presented the Stephen S. Jogan Memorial Scholarship.
  • Susanna Rogers, homeschooled, was presented the Barrineau Park Annual Scholarship.
  • Bethany Reynolds, Northview High School, was presented the Lynda Minchew Memorial Scholarship.

    Barrineau Park Historical Society has fund raisers all year long to raise money for these academic scholarships..OUR PHILOSOPHY IS TWO FOLD:REWARD ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AND GIVE BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY. ANY GRADUATING SENIOR THAT LIVES NORTH OF NINE MILE ROAD CAN APPLY THROUGH THEIR HIGH SCHOOL’STUDENTS GUIDANCE OFFICE.WE HAD 12 WONDERFUL APPLICATIONS THIS YEAR AND AND IT WAS DIFFICULT TO SELECT JUST 3 WINNERS..ALL12 WERE DESERVING ☺

    Thanks to Barrineau Park Historical Society for making college scholarships available to such deserving students. These girls have made academics an important part of their lives and will use the scholarships to brighten their future.

    Congratulations Girls!! Scholarships are wonderful for college expense, be sure and use it wisely.
