A teenage girl escaped serious injuries when she flipped her her SUV across part of two states Saturday morning.
The driver lost control while eastbound in Baldwin County, Alabama, and overturned onto the Barrineau Park Bridge across the Perdido River on Barrineau Park Road. The vehicle came to rest upside down on the bridge railing in Florida.
The driver was transported to a Pensacola hospital with minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Escambia County EMS and the Molino Station of Escambia Fire Rescue also responded.

She is safe I’m her boyfriend I got a call at 9:30 a.m saying (Baby I nned help I got in a wreck and idk where I am) at that point I’m searching high and low for her for an hour just to find out she was getting transported to the hospital. She got out with a cut elbow, cut up legs nothing seriousbut I’m just glad she got out okay
This young driver has a guardian angel working overtime! A word to her parents; this will make her a model driver. My daughter had a wreck the first day she had a drivers license and she just turned 42yrs without as much as a traffic ticket. Teens have to learn on their own and an accident makes believer out of them. I like that Ripley’s
idea!
After having my coffee I realized that this is the bridge at Barrineau Park and not highway 112 at Muscogee..
There is a long hill on the Alabama side of Barrineau Park Road, the eighteen wheelers are really rolling when they come down that hill and reach the bridge,
Back in the 70s and 80s, this was an extremely popular drag racing spot.
I saw a guy run a 65 Mercury Cyclone over the east bound steel guard rail on the Florida side once, but never a vehicle flipped on the bridge it’s self.
Glad that no one was seriously injured.
She may be a candidate for Ripleys Believe It Or Not–Having an accident in two States at the same time with the same vehicle.
What a miracle! The Good Lord is giving her another chance.
So glad she is ok May God bless her
The Good Lord was watching over this young lady! PTL it wasn’t more serious. Praying for her swift recovery and for her family.
