Jay Woman Arrested Second Time For Sexual Assault On Juvenile

April 14, 2016

A Jay woman has been arrested a second time for sexual misconduct with a minor.

Kimberly Anne Seevers, 45, was arrested in Santa Rosa County on a charge of sexual assault on a victim 16 or 17 years old. In an unrelated case, Seevers was arrested last November for sexual assault on a victim 16 or 17 years old and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The two arrests involved separate incidents involving different juveniles age 16 or 17, according to Assistant State Attorney James Parker.

“The victim described a physical encounter with Seevers,” he said.

Parker said the second male victim was discovered during the course of the investigation into the first set of charges.

The first arrest came after the school resource officer at Jay High School received information in regards to a possible sexual relationship between Seevers and juvenile males. Seevers is not employed by or connected with the Santa Rosa County School District.

Both sexual assaults allegedly occurred at her home, the second between September and November 2015.

Seevers was released Wednesday from the Santa Rosa County Jail on $5,000 bond. Parker said prosecutors had request the judge set bond at $50,000. She previously entered a plea of not guilty and is awaiting trial on the November charges.

Not innocent until proven guilty. If you did it and you are found NOT guilty you still are guilty of commiting the crime. You are given the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. There is a big difference between the two. Personally I think they should just drop it and let her go.

Innocent until proven guilty — regardless of the probability of being proven guilty. Comments based on personal judgment of her guilt or innocence, at this time, are irrelevant. Comments about how the judicial process has already unfolded, and is history, are relevant, even if ignorant of a sufficient knowledge of the facts.

as tax payers we have the right to express this. Why express it on here. If you dont like what the judges are doing or the bonds they are creating or even the way they handle cases then make an issue only the tax payers can do that. Remember they work for you.

So let me see if I understand this correctly? A very large majority of you are willing to vote for a President who is 24 years older than his current wife, but when this woman who has a consensual sexual relationship with a young man 29 years her junior, you want to put her under the jail.

@Pensacola Pete. Check your facts. Most men convicted of molesting children are given a slap on the hand and get put on a list. They have to be repeat offenders for a LONG time before anything might actually be done.

If she was a man, the charges would be more severe. Innocent until proven guilty for either sex. But if shes found guilty, bury her under the prison. (Along with the men that keep doing this)

Prosecuted on hearsay??? No physical evidence?? Really?? Do you know how many men (and yes some women) are sitting in prison for life because of “hearsay” and ” no physical evidence” when it comes to sex crimes? A lot!! Why is this woman out on bond to begin with and the fact that the prosecution asked for a 50,000 bond is appalling!! If she was a male and teenage girls accused him of the same crimes he would be sitting in jail waiting for court. Double standards alright!!!!! Or who does she know.?

If it was a man there would be possible evidence, she is being prosecuted on hearsay, unless the act was filmed. Any young man could claim this or that. They should let this woman go, the whole thing is nonsense.”

    WOW!….just WOW!

All week in the national news feeds I’ve read about how women still do not make as much as men in the workplace. Not one mention of the lighter sentencing women get compared to men for the same crimes has made it into that spotlight. So much for equal rights indeed.

She should be treated the same way a man would be treated. Double standard! She is disgusting. She should be ashamed and in prison. Women should not be given lighter sentences in these cases.

If this was a guy he’d still be sitting in jail without bond.

    Poor boys.

I hope that this does not corrupt their lives.

If she was a man the bail would have been $100,000 and when found guilty, would be sentenced to decades in prison. Instead, she gets a $5,000 bond and will get probation.

    So much for equal rights.
