Woo hoo! So, happy for you and Judy. May God bless y’all in this new adventure. You know we are behind you all the way.
Have made several calls to our current commissioner in 5th district …….can’t get past secretary and no returned calls. Time to try someone else.!
I’ve known Mr. Smilie for 20 years. He has great work ethics and honestly wants to help people. He knows how the county works so there’s no learning curve. No underhanded, unethical, questionable actions. I’m voting for Mr. Smilie and will put the biggest sign I can in my yard. He treats everyone with respect regardless of the income. He WILL return your calls.
Dannie I need a sign!
Id vote for him automatically because he looks and seems to be down to earth, he served the community for 30+ years, he looks like a regular guy therefore has no monetary motivation like most commissioners. Won’t say who but a commissioner stops by a local business at election time says we need a $10k contribution or we’re gonna run you outta town. What do you do?
Think it doesn’t happen, your naive.
Good luck Mr. Smillie.
Good luck to this guy I wish him well. I think Mr Barry had done a fine job these past 4 years.
Good deal! He’s be great! He’s got a lot of common sense and is dedicated to the community. I’ve worked with him for 18 years and he’s always there to help when needed.
That would be wonderful if he would get that job.hes an easy going man and he can deal with the public very well.you never see him get upset with people.hes been with the county long enough he knows what goes on and what needs to be done.i give him my vote.maybe he will break the good ole boys down town and get honest people in there for a change. hes not gona be bullied and bribed, people lets get an honest man in there and work for the north end.
Mr Smillie, with his many year of experience with the Roads Division, would make an excellent candidate for our district V.
So glad he decided to run for District 5. He has a lot of knowledge about the county and how it works. Mr. Smillie will find a way to help the residents and the employees. Everyone show your support.
