Remainder Of Becks Lake Road Is Paved
March 17, 2016
Escambia County recently finished paving the remainder of Becks Lake Road in Cantonment. A portion of the road had been left unsurfaced many years ago due to a right of way dispute. Upgrade the area and collect a few dollars to enter. It doesn’t have to be much money, but some to keep the riff raff out. The County makes money and families have a great place to picnic and fish.
I don’t know the specifics of Beck’s Lake Road, but I feel that the county is blamed when a lot of developers or private individuals put in roads and expect the county to accept it for maintenance when it doesn’t meet construction standards.
Suspecting it wasn’t ever up to standards, It is good that Escambia County paved it. The launch ramp needs repairs? County owned?
Wasn’t for sure if I was going to live long enough to see this done
Why is the county not responsible for dirt roads if ECUA uses them it just doesn’t seem fair when we have to pay for their messes. And upkeep of dirt roads.
GREAT NOW THE ROAD IS PAVE THERE ARE NO HOUSES ON THAT PART OF THE ROAD. BUT THERE ARE HOUSES ON DIRT ROAD THAT ARE NOT PAVE AND BEEN THAT WAY FOR OVER 20 YEARS.
Praise the Lord……No more dust (clay) on my dashboard
This is definitely a good upgrade for the county. Now, if we can get something done about the boat launch there.
Finally.
