Marie Nancelene Weaver, know to all as “Nan,” was called home into the loving arms of Jesus, Thursday, March 10, 2016, at the age of 71. Her life was an inspiration to many and her book Little Arms, Big Heart, touched many lives with hope and encouragement. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed making people laugh. Nan will be missed by all.

Nan was born May 10, 1944, to the late Kyler E. Malone and Lucille Malone. She was a lifelong resident of Pensacola and a member of Liberty Church. She graduated from Escambia High School in 1962, and married her childhood sweetheart Jimmy Weaver. She raised three sons and a daughter, and was blessed with nine grandchildren.

Mrs. Weaver is preceded in death by her father, Kyler E. Malone; and mother, Lucille Malone Shell.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Weaver; four children, Daniel (Samantha) Weaver, Betsy (Brian) Liechty, Michael Weaver and David Weaver; nine grandchildren, Jake, Carter, Hannah, Kasey, Shelby, Faith, Alexis, Anna and Colton; brother, Kay Malone; sister, JoAnn (Ronnie) Yates; a beloved sister-in-law, Sandy Malone; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016, at Liberty Church on Blue Angel Parkway in Pensacola with Pastor Buford Lipscomb officiating.

A private interment will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. Visitation will also be held hour prior to the service at Liberty.
