Our prison systems r overcrowded? Can’t we put 20 in a 10 x 10 call with one bed and let the “CRIMINALS” work it out? Just wondering.

    REGARDING:
“my dad is serving a LIFE sentence because someone got on stand and said he sold them pills a life sentence”

Not judging or anything, but did they testify to this under oath because they were lying or because he actually did what they swore he did?

    David for distinctions

    Our justice system encourages crime

Everyone is railing on the judges and District Attorneys AGAIN. These men do what the laws allow. So instead of going after them, go after your legislators and tell them to change the laws. Sure, we’d like to see everyone who takes the life of another – whether it be with malice or by negligence – go to jail forever or face the death penalty, but if the law does not allow it, then it will never be. And even then, I can assure you that the SCOTUS will not let it stand. But contact your legislators and tell them how you feel, anyway. Our Judges and DAs pretty much have their hands tied.

This is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous, there is no justice for the family of the victim. This criminal will be on the streets again in probably less than 3yrs, kill again, and get even a lesser sentence!!! The jails and prisons already overcrowded, if the family don’t push the system to do what’s right, then the justice system could care less and as you see here, that’s exactly what happened!!!!!

This makes me sick… my dad is serving a LIFE sentence because someone got on stand and said he sold them pills a life sentence and this killer gets 3 yrs I just don’t understand how our judges and the distant attorney can lay theirs heads down and sleep at night knowing how the do some people.. but in the end GOD is the ultimate Judge

you have GOT to be kidding me! To allow someone to plea down a murder charge should be a crime in itself. ANY judge that would allow this should lose his seat and the attorneys should be suspended. I can understand some cases being pled down but MURDER? This guy laughed all the way to the pen knowing he’ll be a free man shortly.

Seriously? Last year a fellow I know went to prison for 3 years on a drug manufacturing charge. Not sure the justice system is very fair at all.

This is where plea deals fail. Kill someone get a 20 years suspended sentence and only have to serve 3 years in prison, justice is truly blind.
