Frances Nichols Black

Mrs. Frances Nichols Black, 85, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in Atmore.
Mrs. Black was a native of Evergreen, AL and a resident of Atmore since 1946. Mrs. Black was an excellent homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Canoe United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Mr. Herman Black.
She is survived by her two sons, Butch (Glenda) Black of Atmore and Tal (Embee) Black of Bay Minette; one daughter, Suzan (David) Amos of Atmore; one brother, I.G. Nichols, Jr. of Atmore; seven grandsons and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Thursday, March 3, 2016, at the Canoe Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Larry Renfroe officiating.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Chris Black, Chad Black, Cody Black, Shawn Amos, Brandon Amos and Kelby Amos.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes is in charge of all arrangements.
