Search Warrant Uncovers Drugs, Guns; Three Arrested

February 20, 2016

Three people were arrested Friday after the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office served search warrants on two homes near Warrington Middle School.

As a result of the search, Darryl L. Penn, James Melton and Dominic Robinson were arrested on multiple charges including drug possession and intent to sell. During the searches, deputies seized firearms, cocaine, marijana and prescription drugs from both homes.

Deputies said the search warrants and ultimately the arrests were the result of concern citizen and Crime Stoppers reports.

Thanks for the info Axel, on the gun & spool. I thought the spool was evidence not law enforcement paperwork equipment. :)

The roll of tickets are lab labels to ID evidence containers. The gun is a Spas look alike. Barrel length is legal, it looks short due to the folding stock and magazine tube extension. It is a pump action 12 gauge. The Spas was made popular by TV, movies and video games. It is made to function as a pump or semi-auto. Spas are heavy, bulky and switching between pump and semi-auto can be very difficult. It’s not really a good gun, numerous friends who have owned them ending up selling them due to iffy functioning. They also tend to be way overpriced.

That is one of my fav guns to play with on Black Ops a SPAZ-12 semi-auto shotgun you dont see this type of wepon on the streets and can be moded into a full auto. WOW

It looks like a shotgun with an illegal barrel length, but it might qualify as an old style “horse pistol” that fires shotgun shells, which the law could be fuzzy on as far as barrel length, but I doubt it.

I meant to say high privacy-type fences. :)

What puzzles me is the ticket spool on the right. The shotgun looks like an illegal barrel length. Good job neighborhood watch!

People should be suspicious of a house with excess human traffic, like a house with 3 or 4 or more women living there with middle aged well dressed men frequently in & out the house (prostitution) or excess amounts of younger people in & out of the house (drugs). A swimming pool that stays covered year round can be a sign of cultivation, as well as windows that stay covered with bisqueen or aluminum foil.

Dogfighting will have a tell of excess dogs on the property, & high fences surrounding a certain area of the property, as well as excess human traffic.

Don’t be shy about getting a good look at a vehicle that parks & stays on the side of the road excessively in the vicinity of your house, making note of the description & tag number.

“Are those noodles on the right side of the screen?”

They are rubber bands on the evidence processing table.
