Margaret Frances Golden Higdon

Mrs. Margaret Frances Golden Higdon, 83, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. in Brewton.

Mrs. Higdon was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton. She was retired from Monsanto with 32 years of service. She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church; she was charter member of the church, only woman on the Board of Trustees and still on it. She is preceded in death by her parents, JB and Zora Golden, one sister, five brothers, son, Ronnie Higdon and great-grandson, Ronnie Daniel Higdon.

She is survived by her two sons, Danny (Mildred) Higdon and Kenny (Becky) Higdon, Sr., both of Flomaton, AL; two Daughters, Shirley Lambeth of Flomaton, AL and Sandra Howell of Atmore, AL; eleven Grandchildren; twenty-six Great Grandchildren; six Great Great Grandchildren; Special Nieces, Linda (Robert) Holt of Flomaton, AL and Debbie (Allen) Smith of Flomaton, AL and Special Nephew, Wayne (Danita) Lee of Robertsdale, AL.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 19, 2016, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Day officiating.

Burial was at the Little Escambia Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kenny Higdon, Jr., Cleve Johnson, Brady Lambeth, Jason Lambeth, Marcus Mathis and Daniel Higdon.

Honorary pallbearers were Ishiah Day and Josh Day.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes is in charge of all arrangements.
