Molino Man Charged With DUI After Sunday Night Crash
January 11, 2016
A Molino man was arrested following an alcohol related crash Sunday night on Highway 29 at Quintette Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 50-year old James Theodre Sasse of Molino was northbound on Highway 29. He told the FHP that he was cut off by a silver Nissan Sedan. Sasse swerved off Highway 29 and struck a fence about 7:50 p.m. The vehicle then traveled into a yard at the intersection, coming to a stop just short of the residence.
Sasse was booked into the Escambia County Jail charged with driving under the influence.
There were no injuries in the accident.

No excuse for driving drunk, but those silver Nissans are getting to be a real menace.
This jackwad was in such a hurry he had to pass us and another car in the turn lane at Tate High School only to cut sharply back on to 29 barely missing us in the right hand lane as he runs completely off 29 and into the grass of the ditch in front of the Waffle House… he barely made it back onto 29 where he proceeds to drive at a very high rate of speed out of sight… Thank the Lord he missed that house and all the innocent people he encountered prior to this accident…
Hey you folks that can’t read, the article does state that it was alcohol related, if you’re going to leave a reply, at least don’t show your ignorance and carefully read the full story, especially if you are going to attack someone else, don’t just look at the picture and leave a commit act like you have some intelligence!!!
@john doe….dui means driving under the influence of alcohol or DRUGS!!!
I was shocked to find out he had a 250.00 bond for a dui!!!!! I’m sure that will teach him to drink and drive!!!!
Last word: If Cuz is not impaired, why are those eyes at half-staff? DUI…of something!
@JohnDoe, the reason people assume this accident is alcohol related is because the article clearly states it is alcohol related. Just Saying….
For those who assume this man was drunk, you dont have to be drinking/drunk to be the recipient of a dui charge. He could of been impaired from medicine his doctor prescribed, any controlled sunstance, narcotics etc. Its called driving under the influence for a reason. You can be under the influence of many different things that could impair your motor skills. Just saying
Thank God for all the recent rain. If that truck had not bogged down in the soggy ground, it would have been inside the home, I’m thinking.
Man, that is one nice truck, Mr. Sasse! Sorry you won’t get to drive it again for a little while. Try to get a good lawyer with buddies downtown, you never know.
The GOOD NEWS…HE DID NOT CRASH INTO A FAMILY COMING HOME FROM CHURCH..I HOPE HE GETS SOME REAL HELP WITH HIS DEPENDANCE…THE BAD NEWS….DRIVING AROUND ESCAMBIA COUNTY THESE DAYS IS LIKE RUSSIAN ROULETTE…WITH ALL THE TEXTING ..DRINKING..DRUGS…MEDICATION..DISTRACTED DRIVERS…LIKE DODGING KAMIKAZES.. I PRAY THAT FOLKS WILL BE MORE ATTENTIVE BEHIND THE WHEEL…
For all you drinkers out there, that believe you are in control, your not!!! If you never take that first sip, you’ll never become an alcoholic, or get a DUI!!
