Essie V. Cox

Mrs. Essie V. Cox, 93, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016, in Pensacola.

Mrs. Cox was a native of Red Level, Alabama and a resident of Atmore, AL for most of her life. Mrs. Cox was retired from Vanity Fair with 23 years of service and she attended the New Home Apostolic Church. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Henry H. Cox, three Brothers, Wilburn Harrelson, Grady Harrelson and Marvin Kelly and one Sister, Pauline Mitchell.

Survivors include her three sons, James (Diane) Cox of Knoxville, TN, Bill (Marilyn) Cox of Tampa, and Wade (Denise) Cox of Atmore; three daughters, Pat (Tim) Simmons of Pensacola, Elizabeth Davis of Pensacola and Judy (Steve) Heintz of Silver Spring, MD; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Heintz officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason Cox, Jacob Thomas, Tim Simmons, Rodney Davis, Sam Kelly and Jake Kelly.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes is in charge of all arrangements.

    Aunt Essie v you will be sadly missed I love you alot I just wish I could see you for one last time.you was a great aunt. I love you and I will miss u so much until we meet again
