Man Arrested With Large Purse Full Of Cash And Cocaine

December 11, 2015

An Escambia County man was arrested in a neighborhood off Ten Mile Road with a purse containing a large mount of cash and cocaine.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 700 block of Ridge Road where they had received multiple reports of a suspicious male carrying a large gold purse and running through yards.

They found 29-year old Leslie Jamel Randall who was placed under arrest on an active warrant. A K-9 search of the area found a large gold purse containing narcotics and a large quantity of cash nearby. The purse contained approximately 650 grams of cocaine along with almost $4,500 in cash that was bundled in increments consistent with illegal narcotics sales, according to deputies.

Randall was charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Escambia County Jail with bond set at $110,500.

It just occurred to me that he didn’t have the purse on him.
    Could be coincidence.
Could have been looking for it, but even that doesn’t tie it to him and the charges.
His fingerprints on the purse would tie him to it, but don’t see where they were found.

    Willis,
Some seem to have taken “a trip” and never returned.
We had a neighbor like that too.

@ Chris in Molino, you make it sound like they just pulled up and the bad guy jumped in the back seat, and yes your are right they want people to call in on stuff like this if it dont look right its more than likely not. But if you dont like the service you get from local Law Enforcement dont call them I am sure they wont miss you. And that last remark could not be more untrue,if an order was ever given to take peoples weapons here in Escambia County(which wont happen) that order will be ignored.

We have heroes that work the streets of our Country everyday, every hour, their called the Police, every bit of a hero and needed as our Military but only liked when you need them,if anybody reading this post knows how to do it better there is openings join them.

Half a kilo? Running through backyards? Sounds like someone got robbed and the rightful owner of that half a key is prolly living in that neighboorhood.

    @ Anne,
You do know the drug users are the reason for the makers, dealers and runners ?

And Chris sometimes it seems you may have gotten some bad ones.

Fashion statements to avoid when dispensing illegal substances:
    #1 Gold purse
    #2 Silver purse

Activities to avoid when committing crimes:
    #1 Running through private yards
#2 Yelling out what you’re doing
#3 Putting up a sign with offerings and charges

Suggestion: Find a different trade if you even think of doing any of the above

    David for selective incompetence

I’m sure he’s innocent, as he merely FOUND the purse and had no idea of it’s contents.

    I love it.
1.) A drug dealing criminal is off the street ( like it would make any difference if they caught 100 people with the same drugs and same way the same day. Well, it would give ECSO $450k
2.) Even though LEO didnt do anything but respond due to people calling (which is exactly how they want it) you still have people praising them like they did something. LEO’s job is easier than its ever been aside from the politics.
Eventually they want neighbors calling on neighbors. Come home a little late someones gonna call. Don’t laugh thats exactly what they want. Police State baby. Problem is all these folks who think their riding the moral high ground are the first ones to get their firearms taken from them by the same police they cheer for

I’ll bet he just stole the stash.. Why would he be runnin through yards with it? He could have called a cab or bought a car..

Wish there was a big hole into which we could drop these drug runners, drug makers and the big dog drug kingpins making HUGE money but far removed, killers, rapists, and multi convicted thugs.
They devour our society and our tax monies that could be used for a better purpose than taking care of their sorry selves.
