Helen A. Jones Johnson

Helen A. Jones Johnson, 79 of Atmore, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015, in Tuscaloosa. She worked in insurance business most of her life. She was born in Jackson, TN on April 5, 1936, to the late James Lennon and Olene Higgins Jones.
She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro, TN. She was also a member of Robinsonville Baptist and a member of International Woman’s Insurance Association. She was a Lioness and past president of the Lion’s Club.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Jones.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Johnson of Atmore; one son, Rev. Phil (Shea) Johnson of Atmore; one daughter, Phyllis Parks of Tullahoma, TN; three grandchildren, Dan, Ellen and Gabriel; two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, December 14, 2015, at 1 p.m. from the Robinsonville Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Johnson and Rev. Mark Jones officiating.
Interment will follow in the Robinsonville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be the deacons of the church.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, INC, is in charge of all arrangements.
