Cantonment Man Charged With Threatening Texts To Girlfriend, Killing Her Dog

December 10, 2015

A Cantonment man has been charged with sending threatening texts to his girlfriend and her family, and killing her dog.

Jaymon Brown-Walker, 18, was living with his girlfriend and her family in Cantonment.

Brown-Walker allegedly sent texts to his 18-year old girlfriend while she and family members were at the movies. The texts were sent through a service that displayed a phone number his girlfriend did not recognize.

In multiple texts over a one hour and 40 minute period, he allegedly said he had been watching her for weeks, threatened to kill her and threatened to rape the victim, her mother and her little sister. He also advised he was in her backyard, along with texts that said he was in the movie theater.

At the family home, the family’s dog was discovered outside with a severe laceration across its back and a stab wound to the abdomen.  The dog did not survive.

Deputies were able to serve a search warrant on the company providing the texting service to obtain Brown-Walker identity. He was charged with felony aggravated stalking and animal cruelty.

Sage 2, Sorry I didn’t respond sooner but it is always depressing to be reminded there are such people living amongst us. Syrian refugees as a whole are much better people. If he is guilty, they should consider evicting him and his beloved might consider breaking up with him. The courts might protect him from homelessness in an insane assylum for a lifetime of experimental treatment. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . David.for.appropriate.treatment

Good thing he wasn’t dating my daughter.

i hope the girlfriend and her family will be safe. Too often the victims are not protected. Anyone who harms an animal this way will do the same to people sooner or later.

The sad part of it all, he will walk free soon. Our justice system fails to protect victims of such abuse. Punishment need to be much more severe to keep these low life’s from returning to the same scenario. LEO’S are the only ones protected in cases as such. Sad Sad.

Time after time those who abuse animals also abuse humans and murder us.
Jaymon Brown-Walker needs to be put on a “Watch List” and very closely monitored to hopefully intervene before he turns his anger toward a person or persons.

If this individual would kill an defenseless animal, what would happen if a human crossed his path??? What say you DHG for this atrocity?

If it had been my dog, the court system would have been the least of his worries, and vice versa. . . . Just sayin’.

I concur with all the previous comments. This guy is a very dangerous individual – I hope our court system realizes this and does not wait to lock him up until he stabs a human being to death.

In this case, he was charged with felony animal cruelty, as well as aggravated stalking (also a felony).
Not all animal cruelty is a felony however. Depending on the circumstances, it can be a first degree misdemeanor, see F.S.S. 828.12 (1).

It has recently been passed where it is a felony for animal abuse of any kind. I read it was for all 50 states — I hope that is true. The story states he was living with the family he threatened. Great house guest NOT. This guy is a dangerous one and needs to be locked away.

He was living with them and did this? This young man has some severe emotional and/or mental issues that require serious treatment. Sounds like he’s a dangerous individual. I pray for the family and that he gets the help he so desperately needs.

Wow that’s it animal cruelty? What is wrong with our justice system?

It takes a real man to threaten women and kill poor innocent pets. I wish they’d lock him up for a long time but unfortunately our pets lives don’t matter in the court systems. What a sad, sad story.
