The thing with compassion is that it is reserved for those who deserve compassion. A child with cancer..compassion. An elderly woman whose husband has just died..compassion. Thugs who sell poison to other people’s chill not deserve compassion. Where was their compassion for the families of the people they sold drugs to? You are asking us to extend something to men who didn’t care about anybody but themselves and making their money. Don’t kid yourself that these men wouldn’t do the same to someone else if they got in the way of their money. It’s how it works and they knew the score of the game better than anybody.

People change? These men didn’t change! They got killed doing exactly what they were arrested for before. What a warped sense of right and wrong people have now a days. These were good men doing bad things? They were bad men doing bad things and no matter how much their family loved them it isn’t gonna make it different.

However,I am not a total cold hearted witch. I am sorry for the families left behind after the loss of their loved ones. Im sorry that their children, brother, father made poor choices and died because they did. If they didn’t truly know their loved one was doing the things they were doing that day then I’m truly sorry you had to experience that heartbreak. I hope that someday you are able to find peace when you think of them.

I have read a few negative comments about these 2 victims and it is really upsetting to me . People are so very quick to judge other people. Judge not unless you too shall be judged!! I myself also have a criminal history, does that mean that I deserve to die?!??No it does not !!Everyone has some kind of history even if it is as small as a parking ticket. Grow up people nobody is perfect!! People can change!! I am one that HAS!! These 2 victims was somebody’s son maybe even a brother or a father and my deepest sympathy goes out to these families. I pray people that we as humans can learn to have some compassion for others you never know someone’s story so please people lets make this world a better place and try to have some love for folks!!

“Has long history but is a good person”. This, ladies and gents, is the problem with our country today. You can do whatever the heck you want, and your mama, baby mama, grandmammy et al will still take up for you and say “you a good person”. Give me a break. Most people don’t commit egregious, heinous crimes. Everybody breaks the speed limit sometimes. Beyond that, most people are clean. So don’t give us that “he a good person even tho he got a long rap sheet” crap. The mama/grandma whoever should have been whippin’ his butt as a kid and making him behave. That’s how you keep folks off the street- a good raising!

Wendell–the second death was a high school student from the north part of the county, not a suspect. Your speculation couldn’t be farther from the truth.

These individuals have been arrested for selling drugs, resisting arrest, battery on a leo with and without violence along with many other charges. If you live a thug life you die a thug death.

However they were someone’s child, brother, father. My condolences to the family left behind.

  8. juju on November 12th, 2015 8:05 am

I do not understand people who want to blame the sheriff for crime…that is like blaming a doctor for heart disease..the only people you can blame or the criminals….period..electing a new sheriff is not going to stop crime….just saying

  9. Just me on November 12th, 2015 2:50 am

I know this family is grieving. Prayers for them. Still you cannot expect to live a life of drugs and crime and not have it catch up with you. Choices that is what we need to teach the young people today! Your choices will catch up.with you evetually.

    REGARDING:
“@Robert: who made that quote, if not Hamilton. I find it attributed to Hamilton in the Federalist papers.”

It IS attributed to him as having written it there, but if you actually read the Federalist Papers, you will find it is not there, unless I missed it. Below I list the location of the papers in the Library of Congress. They make good reading.

A history of crime, wow imagine that. Sorry for their demise. They won’t have anymore run ins with the police.

fishhook240…..by put them in country….what country do u mean…..outside city limits…or out of USA? People that live in USA….in the “country” have jobs and work and they are good people who also have people who are thugs and drug dealers that they have to be concerned about.

  14. Wendell on November 11th, 2015 6:08 pm

No foul play in the second death makes me think it might be the suspect at the Raceway. Just speculation,.

  15. meshae on November 11th, 2015 5:41 pm

well in the hood there are thugs who’s objective is to make money by any means, and in the nicer neighborhoods there are sicko’s who takes children, hide women and eat human flesh, now it’s safe to say that no where is safe. my father is a detective and i was told the hood is loud the suburds or nicer neighborhood do their dirt quietly, crazy world!!!.. but still none of those kids deserve to be killed, my heart goes out to their families..

  16. john on November 11th, 2015 5:12 pm

@shonuff, I bet they had stopped after a hard days work to buy a coke, yeah the kind you smoke in a pipe. It was obvious from the witness description they probably knew each other, and some kind of deal went bad, shoot I but the guy that did it was standing in among the crowd.

  17. Facetious Bob on November 11th, 2015 4:45 pm

@ Fishhook240…Man, think about what you just wished for. Thugs in the country, where they can ” leave the working folks alone(?).” Draft them into the military, and let “uncle Sam take care of the thugs.”

The military is not a reform school, and I hope you do not wish for these people to defend your freedoms. I served, and would not wish these people, they probably can’t, to be backing me up.

Tell us your military experience, and how you expect the “thugs” to contribute to your American dream.

So, who said the quote if not Hamilton, Robert?

  19. Janie on November 11th, 2015 3:56 pm

Hope no one else remarks negatively about criminal record , no matter he was good person and he didn’t not deserve have his life taken , glad there s of many fake people pretending they never broke the law more like you just didn’t get caught!!!!!!!!!!!

    RIP YOU ARE MISSED

  20. Robert on November 11th, 2015 3:09 pm

Alexander Hamilton did not say that. Look it up. False quotes really bug me, sorry.

“The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed.” Alexander Hamilton

  22. Johnny Justice on November 11th, 2015 9:59 am

The failed policies of the current sheriff contribute to street level violence like this shooting. As one previous poster noted, the sheriff’s office has become reactive instead of proactive. it’s time for a change. Vote for the candidate of your choice, but the current sheriff has had 8 years and has proven his policies do not work. Escambia County is on track to be the murder capital of Florida (per capita) again.

  23. bewildered on November 11th, 2015 9:28 am

Glad it was not a police involved shooting where the media is all over it and portrays the victims as innocent hard working young men. As is, this story will not be headlines and soon be forgotten.

  24. Puddin on November 11th, 2015 8:09 am

@ Sho nuff. It says the VICTIMS have been identified. BOTH have long CRIMINAL histories. Good to know these werent innocent citizens, but a life is stll a life. They were someones somebody. Maybe daddies, surely sons and brothers. I cry for thier mothers. RIP young men. May God have mercy on your souls.

  25. Fishhook240 on November 11th, 2015 7:35 am

To bad we can’t round up all the THUGS that terrorizing our town and put them out in the country and let them take care of this problem they are causing. Let them kill each other and leave the working folks alone. It’s getting to a point where you wonder if you are safe to walk our streets because of the THUGS. Good for nothing THUGS I’m to the point that I think we need to reinstate the draft and let uncle SAM take care of these THUGS.

  26. SHO-NUFF on November 11th, 2015 5:02 am

Our local law enforcement has become reactive instead of proactive.
Of course, being proactive involves stopping suspicious characters and that is frowned on and considered harassment, so they have no choice but to show up and investigate the crime after the fact.
Its sad the deceased individuals probably just stopped by the gas station for a coke and a hot dog on lunch break from a busy hard working day…

  27. Jane on November 11th, 2015 4:21 am

The bad guys can always buy guns. The gangs steal and swap guns all the time, buy them from each other and use them against good hard working people. The answer is not to take away guns but to break up and jail the gangs using them and selling and stealing them. Our Constitution gives us the right to “bear arms” for a reason. One of the first things Hitler did was control the food source and remove guns from the people. Read your history and learn from it. We fought the Revolutionary War with guns….for our freedom: freedom of speech, religion and the the right to bear arms among a few reasons.

    THANK YOU “VAPOR”

  29. Oh my very frustrated and worried and sad... on November 11th, 2015 12:42 am

Wow 2 murdered in the middle of the day next to a school on a normal regular busy day on a regular well traveled day by regular people going to work coming home from work picking up the their children from school —from schooll!!! What the heck is going on ????? What the heck is happening here in pensacola –can’t this craziness be stopped???

  30. The vapor on November 10th, 2015 10:12 pm

    “@scared
Nobody wants to take your guns away. Calm down.”

Wrong. There are people who politicize every shooting for the sole reason to take away guns.

The Hillary has already said as much. Along with DiFi among others.

  31. brave on November 10th, 2015 8:13 pm

    @scared:

Believe it or not, people have been killing each other since the beginning of people. Modern media and technology just give us more access and make us able to hear more about it. Things are no worse than they were 80 years ago when people were killing each other over liquor, or 300 years ago when people were burning others alive for being witches.

  32. CW on November 10th, 2015 6:58 pm

What time did it happen & Was school out? this is right next to the elementary school?

  34. scared on November 10th, 2015 5:20 pm

Scary! Makes me worry to no end that this is only getting worse and not just in the “city” anymore but right here at our front doors. I can only imagine what it will be like in another 10-15 years. And the Government wants to take our guns away? NO FREAKIN WAY! Willing to bet this will end up being drug related. Sad but true. Makes me want to cry just knowing what our children and grandchildren are facing
