Man Charged With Murder For Child Abuse Death

Escambia Sheriff’s Investigators have arrested a man in connection with the death of a 14-month-old child.
On October 21, Escambia Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Sacred Heart Hospital for a suspected child abuse case. When they arrived, they received information that A’Niyla Marie Mitchell was undergoing treatment for injuries she had sustained as a result of what appeared to be blunt force trauma to the head. A’Niyla was placed in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
At about 5 p.m. on October 23, A’Niyla succumbed to her injuries.
Cornelius Kendale Nickson is charged with first degree murder and aggravated child abuse. He is currently being held in the Escambia County Jail without bond.

There sure is a lot of this lately. People seem to be enraged more easily these days. Moms: Stay with your babies. Praying for the poor momma of this little one.
I believe the punishment should fit the crime. If you shoot someone, your punishment should be to be shot. If you beat someone about the head, you should be beat about the head. Since the system does not agree with that, maybe someone in the prison system – IF he is assigned to such – WILL agree with it.
Those who kill are operating in animal mode. Animals don’t mind killing, sometimes their own offspring.
I don’t know how anybody could hurt a child at all!
I don’t understand how someone can hurt a child so badly! They should do way worse to him and let him suffer! Jail is to easy for someone like him! You disgust me.
