Carolyn Hall Conn

Carolyn Hall Conn passed away at home on Friday, October 9, 2015, at the age of 88. A native of Canoe, Carolyn was born July 15, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Lucile Watson Hall and Andrew Arthur Hall. She graduated from the University of Alabama and taught elementary school in Escambia County in both Alabama and Florida for many years. Mrs. Conn was a lifelong member of the Canoe and Atmore Church of Christ. She belonged to the Canoe Civic Club and the Canoe Study Club.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John Emmett Conn, Jr.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Arthur James Hall (Sarah), nieces and nephews, Susan L. Hall of Atmore, Arthur James Hall, Jr. (Ann) of Pensacola, Dr. Carolyn Hall Ringhoffer (Joseph) and Celia Vickery Lewis (Mack), all of Mobile, Emily Hall Vickery of Pensacola, William W. Vickery (Jackie) of Cleveland, GA, Nancy Vickery Clark (Thomas) of Nashville, TN, Samuel B. Love (Kay) and John Hall Love of Summerfield, FL, as well as other numerous great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2015, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at the Hall Family Cemetery in Canoe.
Pallbearers will be Leon S. Crawford, Arthur James Hall, Jr., John Hall Love, Samuel Bannister Love, Joseph Edward Ringhoffer and William W. Vickery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Escambia Academy Library, 268 Cowpen Creek Rd., Atmore, AL 36502.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes is in charge of all arrangements.
