Niceville Slips Past Tate (With Photo Gallery)

September 26, 2015

The Niceville Eagles got past the Tate Aggies 35-32 Friday night.

The game was a flag away from a tie. With just over a minute to go, kicker Evan Legassey kicked a field goal, but a flag on the play for an illegal procedure against Tate negated the field goal. On his second try, Legassey’s field goal was blocked by Niceville.

The Tate Aggies will host Washington High School next Friday night at 7:30.

After talking a coach at the school it seems like the call was right going by the letter of the law. The flag was for a bad formation with not enough people I the line. It wasn’t a false start like everybody thought. Coach it was the right call but that it should have been flagged on the xpt earlier so the could correct it then. I don’t think it should have been called at that point but coach said it was on the game film and was technically right call. We will beat them in the playoffs

The worst officiated HS game I think I have ever seen.
