Monette S. Owen

Monette S. Owen, born December 13, 1924, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2015, in Hot Springs, AR. She was born in Ponce de Leon, FL to the late Sidney D. Sutton and Mattie Smith McDonald Sutton.

Monette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, Eugene “Gene” Darrell Owen; and all of her twenty-two sisters and brothers.

She is survived by her four daughters, Pat (Sam) Lovelace of Huntsville, AL, Jackie (Ron) Moore of Hot Springs Village, AR, Flynne (Jack) Mitchell of Salem, AL, and Debbie (Charlie) Reifschneider of Hot Springs Village, AR; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North,with Dr. Ted Traylor and Bro. Jerry Passmore officiating.

Visitation be will held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Olive Baptist Church building fund, 1836 E. Olive Road, Pensacola, FL 32514 or Arkansas Hospice, 300 Werner Street, 5 West, Hot Springs, AR 71913.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home North is in charge of arrangements.
