I enthusiastically support Larry for our Dist. Five Rep. He has been a very effective no nonsense member of ECUA
and very responsive to the voters and customers. I would
be happy to see him gain reelection.

Larry Walker has done a very good job in a difficult environment. He studies the needs of our area and then works to get that needed work done.

Larry is a good man, cares about doing his job right, has enough sense to do so.
(We really DO need to clone him.)

    David for better people

Yes, they do get paid an annual salary of $32,000. Maybe it’s time for somebody to step up and run. It is happening now in two other districts because, like my fellow citizens in district 5, districts 1 and 3 are fed up as well. Twenty-four years is too long for any local politician to serve, especially when they always support rate increases.

Yes, they get paid handsomely, plus healthcare, plus better retirement benefits from the Florida Retirement System than the average state employee. No wonder he and some of the other board members serve multiple terms – talk about career politicians! We need someone else in the race with some new ideas!! And they shouldn’t be allowed to serve more than two terms.

Does anyone know if the ECUA Board members get paid for their office?

Everything is on the rise and we are getting less for it. Trash pickup once a week is not enough for some residents of the county. It is time for a change. Be looking for a someone new to be entering the race soon

PLEASE….tell us how it is Cheaper to haul the recycle waste to MONTGOMERY and other Alabama cities than it would be to build a joint Escambia–Santa Rosa facility that would LOCALLY provide recycle services and provide LOCAL JOBS……

ECUA lives in its own world and members get paid HUGE for a once-per-month meeting.

Try and get a straight answer from a Board Member, if you can find one.
Once elected it seems to be a forever job.

Agree! Time for someone new to look out for the north end before we get mandatory sewer all the way to Walnut Hill. And why do they get better trash service at a lower rate from the same ECUA in Santa Rosa? I’m lucky if I get once a week pickup!

Someone needs to step up and run.

I agree. Additionally, we now have trash pickup only ONCE a week in Escambia County and it costs more than the twice a week with Allied did. ?????? I’m still trying to figure that one out too – and, he managed to get re-elected!

Time for some new blood folks.

Dr. Walker; Please explain again how the ECUA is providing cheaper and better garbage service in Santa Rosa County than you provide for the citizens that elected you in Escambia County?
