Harold Carson Freeman

Harold Carson Freeman, 86, of Cantonment, passed peacefully in his sleep Saturday, August 29, 2015. He was born on May 04, 1929, to Willie Lynn Freeman and Mary Elizabeth Riggs.
Harold was a Pensacola native. His first job at age 13 was at Martine’s Restaurant. He graduated from Pensacola High School in 1949. He served in the Naval Reserves in 1949-50. He joined the US ARMY National Guard from 1950-1953. He then worked a few years at Muldon Ford and worked most of his life at Chemstrand, Monsanto and Solutia where he retired.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Agnes Rimpf; parents, Willie Lynn and Mary Elizabeth; sister, Mary Yetter; sisters-in-law, Theresa Martin, Louella Rimpf, MaryAnn Rimpf; brothers-in-law, Max Yetter, Ted Garber, Jack Martin, Tony Rimpf, Frankie Rimpf, Joey Rimpf, Les Smith and Wayne Clark; and two nephews, Marlin and Gregg Rimpf.

He is survived by his children, Deborah Dennis (Lynn Holmes), Carson Freeman Jr. (Kaye) and Barbara Robinson (Michael); two granddaughters, Stephanie Glaze-Hewlett (Brandon) and Katie Freeman; six grandsons, Brian Dennis, Carson III, Michael and Zachary Freeman, Matthew and Will Robinson; one great-grandson, Joshua Glaze; one great-granddaughter, Kennedi Hewlett; sisters, Anna McSwain (Charles) and Dorothy Garber; brother, Donald Freeman (Lorraine); sisters-in-law, Helen Clark, Carrie Rimpf, Carol Rimpf, Joyce Rimpf; and brothers-in-law, Steve Rimpf and Charles McSwain.

A memorial visitation of family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Faith Chapel North.

A funeral mass will be scheduled at a later date at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
