Violence ends if either party is violent enough to reduce the number of parties down to one.

Having first hand knowledge of marital abuse.. I don’t see how she could ever point a gun at his feet, or any other part of him. I truly was incapable of causing him physical harm of any kind, but after the dissipation of my marriage, ALL the things he had done to me, I EVENTUALLY did to others. Violence is a never ending circle.

I thought that when law enforcement is called to a domestic dispute, at least in Escambia County, that one of the parties would go to jail. Just wondering if there was a gun involved, you would think that there is a problem there!

Wonder how long before they make up all over again?
Seems these things are repeat happenings.
Have seen people call law enforcement on another person then get upset when an arrest is pending or made.

@Kathy, “she did the right thing”

    seriously?

She did not do the right thing, no matter what the news story did not mention or regardless of what we know or do not know with the situation. The right thing is to either leave the property, call the law, or if she was in fear for her life, kill him. End of discussion.

    I. Guess he got the point. She did the right thing, I mean she could have shot his foot. LOL.

Use of a gun for any purpose other than to kill or improve aim, is misuse of a gun.
Killing for any reason other than need is wrong.
Assuming a shot will NOT kill is foolishly optimistic.
Assuming a shot will always, instantly and only kill the one you intend to kill, is questionable.

    David for better judgment

There’s a difference between back off and dance.. There’s not enough info to guess what really happened.. I don’t agree with warning shots but it works for some..

To Molinoman – You are absolutely right. Still, to have a woman blasting away yelling “dance you lousy ” because she saw it many times in movies, does strike me as morbidly hilarious. Maybe because I’ve never, ever heard of anyone actually trying it, and I’m over 60 yrs old. Walnut Hill, Gotta love ‘em!

People are such idiots. This is not the movies, you don’t shoot at people’s feet to “make them dance.” You do not point a gun at anything you don’t plan on destroying.
