Look at it like this if you lift light Weight all the time you may get a little stronger but it won’t do to much but if you go and challenge your self with higher weight then you will get stronger it’s the same if you play a team that there is no challenge in playing when you get that challenge you may not be able to hold up to it just like if you lift light weight and then jump to I high weight you may not be able to get it

The world of sports have proven time and time again that you don’t have to be the biggest or the best to beat the biggest or the best. Playing larger schools will only make us better. Football and all other sports are based on talent but also will and determination. The latter will go a long way against any opponent. We will have a good season this year. We may not beat the big schools but they will respect us. Not only the football team but the softball team has to face big school opponents too and they will have their hands full with us this year! I have a daughter that will play for the Chiefs this year and we will be tough! It goes a long way for the morale of our athletes to know that their division opponents are scared of them.

I think there needs to be a mixture of opponents. Playing larger schools will make the players better in the long run, also playing larger schools offers more exposure and could result in doors opening for more players to attend college. Besides getting to the playoffs and winning should be the ultimate goal. A 6-4 record (jamboree included) with a state championship is better than a 10-0 season and a first round loss in the playoffs.

I believe it makes our boys better physically, but what will it do to the mentality of these young boys? Hang in there boys.

They have to play all these big schools, because no one else in their class will play them. I think they should be made to play schools in the surrounding area in the same class. Our boys do a good job, but big number in football makes a big difference..

OLD COACH; If that is the case, the Florida HS Athletic Association should step in and force teams to play within their classification

I believe it’s because most teams in our class will not play us. In order to complete the schedule they probably have to schedule higher class teams.

Very proud of the Chiefs! It’s only going to make you better. Keep working to the goal.

Will somebody please explain to me why 1A Northview has scheduled all these 5 and 6A teams instead of playing teams in our division?
