Teen Charged With Burning Home In Attempt To Kill Her Family
July 30, 2015
A 17-year old Escambia County, AL, teen is charged as an adult after authorities say she set fire to the family’s mobile home with four relatives inside.
Love Freedom Rutledge of Brewton is charged with four counts of attempted murder and one court of first degree arson. She remained in the Escambia County (AL) Detention Center Wednesday with bond set at $200,000.
The Appleton Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fully involved mobile home fire on McGougin Road northeast of Brewton about 1:00 Sunday morning. The mobile home was a total loss.
A man was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center Burn Center in Mobile, while three family members received injuries that were not serious.
After realizing Rutledge was missing, K-9 units, including one from the Century Correctional Institution, were called to the scene. Rutledge was located in a wooded area a short distance away.
Authorities have not released a motive or other details in the incident as their investigation continues.

time will tell what happen, i’m glad to see all these expert analysis on here giving their opinion on her facial expression lol
We are not the ones to judge for all we know this child could been molested , beaten , her hair is shaved she clearly has troubles. Lets pray for a fast recovery of the victims Thank him nobody diedand pray for this child.
She is my family and this girl right here just needs prayer. So please be kind on your words because you don’t know the whole story..
Beer is good, God is great and people are crazy…
What happened to this child?
I agree with Molinoman. No remorse whatsoever in those cold eyes.
Do not take your kids cell phone away.
Maybe she has no remorse on her face because there was more to it as to why she did it.
Love Freedom has no Love for her family. Love Freedom seems like she will not be seeing freedom for a while. I do know there seems to be something underlying this story. Why? What pushed her over the edge to do something like this to HER OWN FAMILY! What has corrupted her mind so much?? I pray for justice to be served and that her family that was in the home will recover fully. SO SAD!!!
She knows her family better than we do.
Until you walked in somebody else’s shoes its easy to say anything.
Look closely, do you see it? Me neither. No remorse, or emotion in their eyes at all.
Such a waste of youth, she just messed up the first 10-20 years of her adult life. Dollars to doughnuts she will always be in some type of facility her entire life.
So I am guessing with an arrest that quickly, either she confessed or smelled of gasoline and burnt matches?
I certainly hope she starts talking about what she was put through by them to do such a thing. There’s definitely more to it. A young lady would have to believe there is absolutely no other option. I hope she starts talking and can then get the help she needs.
I CAN SEE REBELLION ALL OVER HER AND I’m almost certain her actions had something to do with her not getting her way–maybe a boy her parents didn’t want her to be involved with at that time and she might have felt it was the end of her life so she took actions she will regret for the rest of her life. I’m glad her evil actions were not a complete success although enough and hoping for full recoveries for the victims. The sister of my wife was killed by her own son in TEXAS when he was denied being involved with a girl and with him seeing this was the end of his life he killed his mom and tried to kill his 2 younger brothers. He got a 60 plus year sentence for his actions I’m sure he regrets every day now. She will have plenty of time sitting in jail or some kind of detention facility to reflect on how her reactions were so stupid and regret it as long as she lives. GETERDONE.
Love Freedom does not love freedom.
Wow, nothing loving or freedom spirited in this young lady! I don’t know if she is crazy, but I’d really like to know what set her off.
