One Injured In Two Pickup Crash Near Century

One person was injured in a two vehicle crash this afternoon west of Century.

The accident occurred about 12:30 p.m. on Highway 4A, just west of Tulip Street, in the Gandyville community.

The driver of a Ford pickup crossed the center line, causing the accident, according to witnesses. A Chevrolet pickup was forced off the roadway and overturned into a ditch. The driver of the Chevrolet pickup was transported to Jay Hospital with injuries that were not considered severe. The driver of the Ford pickup was not injured.

The Century Station of Escambia Fire Rescue, the Flomaton Fire Department and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash.

The accident remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
