New Walmart Neighborhood Market Now Open

Escambia County’s newest Walmart Neighborhood Market opened Wednesday at 9301 Pine Forest Road, near Nine Mile Road.
The 44,000 square foot store features fresh produce and meats, frozen foods, groceries and pharmacy. The new store employs up to 95 full- and part-time associates. Store manager Frank Byers began his Walmart career in 1998 as a deli associate.
As part of the store’s grand opening celebration, grants from Walmart and the Walmart Foundation were presented to local community groups, including Pine Meadow Elementary, Ransom Middle School and Tate High School.
