Downed Tree Blocks Road In Walnut Hill

High winds associated with an afternoon thunderstorm split an oak tree on Arthur Brown Road this about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, sending a large portion of the tree across the roadway near Kansas Road. The Walnut Hill Station of Escambia Fire Rescue and the Escambia County Road Department were called to remove the tree. With about an hour, the roadway was back open.
