Terry Simmons

Terry Simmons age 59 of Jay, passed away on May 7, 2015. He was an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a devoted family man and his grandchildren were his world. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Simmons; grandparents, John Thomas and Mattie Bell Scarborough and Katie and Henry Simmons; and mother-in-law, Mattie Black.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Debbie Simmons; children, Katrina White and Jon Simmons; grandchildren, Stephen Brown, Brittany Williams, Austin Simmons, Jaden Simmons, and Hunter Simmons; great-granddaughter, Alayna Johnson; mother, Pat Cassidy; sisters, Glenda Booker, Janice, Debbie, Dawn Holloway, Robbie Hicks, Crystal Watts, and Heather McArthur; brothers, Randy Simmons, Tony Simmons, and Curtis Simmons II; father-in-law, Armand Black; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 11, 2015, at Jay Funeral Home with Brother Earle Greene officiating.
Burial was at Dixonville Community Cemetery.
Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
