Christa E. “Oma” Davis

Christa E. “Oma” Davis, 79 of Cantonment, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2015. She was born in Germany and immigrated to the states in 1955. She received her citizenship just two years later. She was a past member of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Marie Mansbarth; and her brother, Norbert Mansbarth.

She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Otis E. Davis; three children, Gerlinder (Rickey) Smith, Monica (Mike) Mackey, and Otis E. (Peggy) Davis, Jr.; six grandchildren, Tabatha, Christina, Regina, Michael, Curtis, and Daniel; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.

Burial will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. prior to services.

Pallbearers will be Provost Guard of the Hadji Shrine Temple.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children’s Transportation Fund at Hadji Shrine Temple.
