Cantonment Man’s Appeal Denied In Toddler’s Death

April 4, 2015

The Florida First District Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction of a Cantonment man that was once featured on the America’s Most Wanted TV show.

In August 2013, 23-year old Dwayne “Money” Pinestraw was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for firing a gun through the window of a Pensacola Village apartment, striking and killing 19-month old Ty’Quarius Moultrie on July 15, 2011.

Pinestraw appealed, claiming that he had ineffective legal counsel, but the appellate court did not agree.

He was arrested in Texas in December 2011, hours after being featured on the television program.

You had your trail and was convicted, You had your sentencing and you don’t like it, You received the same sentence that you gave that baby, life, He can’t get his death sentence overturned and you should not get your life sentence overturned either. Can you find forgiveness for what you did, yes, should it change the consequences of what you did……..no sir. This just gives you a long time to think about it.

Spot on Don. Being a gangsta sounds real cool in this stupid music these days. So does killing and being cool. But when reality hits and you kill or hurt someone and have to go to prison, the gangsta life isn’t so glamorous. That’s a hard lesson to learn for so many of these kids who think that life is good. I have no sympathy for this kid. Im sure the life he is living in prison is horrible-but he made the choice to fire his weapon and kill and innocent baby. Do the time–Mr. Cool….

Save your appeal for the final judgement, you’re going to need it. In the mean time a cage is what you deserve…

He’s looking at this all wrong . He gets 3 meals per day , a bed , a roof over his head, free medical , a jumpsuit, exercise equipment, and he doesn’t have to work. It’s free. Don’t Whine. You did the crime. Now do the time.

He deserves to be in prison for the rest of his life. He shot and killed an innocent baby. There are times when I’m glad that there is a God and that their is judgement after life.
