William Ernest Bowman

William Ernest Bowman, 87, of Pensacola, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015. He was born on October 13, 1927, in Barrineau Park. Ernie graduated from Tate High School in 1945. Ernie served a tour in the U.S. Army and a tour in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Ernie retired from Hygeia Coca Cola Bottling Company in 1988 after 41-1/2 years of service.

Ernie was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Junior Bowman; his mother, Myrtle Mae Beverly Bowman; and a sister, Marian Kathleen Bowman Liddell.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Marie Silvia Bowman; daughter, Tina Diane Bowman of Pensacola; son, William Ernest “Bill” (Wanda) Bowman of Ocean Springs, MS; granddaughters, Alicia Marie Bowman of San Francisco, CA, and Amanda Kay Bowman of Ocean Springs, MS; nieces, Linda June Liddell (Buddy) White of Navarre; Bobbie Sue Liddell (Jim) Malbeck of Lillian; and a sister-in-law, Nadine Silvia (John) Ware.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dallas Peel, R.N., Jerry Flannigan and Ken Carpenter for all their love and support through the years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Bro. Bill Flannigan officiating.

Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. prior to services.

Pallbearers will be Bill Bowman, Tina Bowman, Wanda Bowman, Ken Carpenter, Jerry Flannigan, and Jim Malbeck.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke Methodist Church or the Hadji Shriner’s Hospital in Tampa.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home North is in charge of arrangements.
