The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about a stolen utility trailer after the  thief was caught on camera.

The ECSO said Wednesday that the trailer was stolen from a residence on Hummingbird Drive on March 22. The trailer had a diamond toolbox in the front and had Florida tag 1599LS at the time of the theft.

Anyone that recognized the SUV pulling the trailer or that has any information on the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP. Callers do not have to provide their name and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Ours was also stolen on the 23rd from Lexington rd off Chemstrand rd…and it was locked up…ours was an enclosed Pace with a drop down rear door…it’s sad that people are so desperate and need to steal others property…

    @bewildered

I agree, why do they not question the mailbox standing behind the car? It was probably the lookout…..

Nice one but there is no one in the picture.

What about the man in the picture behind the white car? If he had nothing to do with the theft, why not come forward. He might have seen something that could be of help.

Let’s stop blaming the owners. Keep the ficus on the slugs who steal.

Stealing a trailer like this from a driveway with no vehicles parked next to it is just too much of a invite to steal.
    Even in broad daylight.
Neighbors are also gone or do not notice or care.
Or they think someone is borrowing it.

Do not expect the thieves to sell them.
They will cut it up for scrap cause your less likely to get caught selling it for scrap in chunks.

Yeah thieves are infuriating but, how about keeping your valuables locked up? This is a harsh world we live in with all kinds of people in it. My trailer along with all my valuables are locked up tight in my backyard under video surveillance protected by my dogs and guns. You can not trust anyone these days so don’t take unnecessary risks with your belongings. You wouldn’t leave your 2 year old out on the side of the road so why leave anything else there? Take some responsibility and quit being so naïve this is not the 40’s people are not to be trusted plain and simple.

There was a man going around doing the same thing a few months ago and he was arrested. Any chance he’s back at it with a different truck?

I hate a thief. I can forgive someone who makes a mistake, but it’s really hard to steal by mistake. First you’ve got to figure out how to take the trailer without getting caught, then you’ve got to figure out how to sell it without getting caught.

I wish I could identify the vehicle from the picture. Looks like maybe a GMC Envoy, but can’t tell the color other than “dark.”

That’s so sad to here, people are stealing in day light, there’s a SUV in century that looks like the one used, if I see it I will find out where they live. Just saying.

Dirty rotten…thieves used to steal during the cover of dark…but not anymore…. they use the broad daylight to perform their handy work …hope they get caught….strap em to the trailer and ride them around town with a sign on it saying “I stole this trailer during the light of day…and now its time for me to pay”
