Robert A. “Bob” Cawthon

Mr. Robert A. “Bob” Cawthon, 83, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2015, in Atmore.

Mr. Cawthon was a native of Bluff Springs and a lifetime resident of Century. Mr. Cawthon was a Korean War Veteran, VFW, Civil Engineer, CORE Engineer for years, and helped build several oil plants in this area. He was on the film crews at White Sands. His father, Robert F. Cawthon; mother, Ruby Coleman Cawthon; aunt, Josephine Anderson; and two brothers, John Jacob Cawthon and Wayne Cawthon, precede him in death.

Survivors include his son, Robert A. Cawthon, Jr. of Jay; daughter, Marie (Dale) Levins of Byrneville; one sister, Rose White of Pensacola; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at 3 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at the Crary Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 2 p.m. until service time at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tony Levins, Terry Levins, Todd Levins, Brady Levins, Jody Levins, Joey Rogers and Zack Carter.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes is in charge of all arrangements.
